Dear cinema lovers, Moscow Shorts is happy to invite you to its first Monthly Live Screenings on 28’th of June 2018 at 20:30 in lovely Cinema Star in Moscow.
Moscow Shorts has announced its line-up, with 8 awarded short films from countries like USA, India, France, Netherlands and Spain. This month Moscow Shorts presents short films chosen from over 100 submissions, in the genres of narrative, animation, music video, experimental, documentary and student. The duration of the event is 105 minutes and it’s suitable for 18+ audience.

Moscow Shorts ISFF is an international short film competition, with monthly live screenings and an annual awards event in Moscow. The Moscow Shorts International Short Film Festival is dedicated to promoting the short film genre, bringing exposure to the world’s best independent up-and-coming filmmakers. Moscow Shorts is an organization devoted to showcasing the best and brightest short films from around the globe, advancing the careers of filmmakers through screenings, networking events, and various panel and forums. Moscow Shorts hopes to build links between emerging and established professionals, and provide a platform where all short filmmakers, including students or unprofessionally teams, can screen their films in public and support their fellow colleagues.

The Ogre & the Mermaid

The Ballerina, Her Shoemaker and His Apprentice

Synopsis: Set in the 1930s, a lost young man George stumbles upon the refined world of ballet pointe shoe making and redeems his value as the apprentice under the shadow of Mr. Traynor, a talented but stuffy pointe shoemaker. George’s imagination turns into a reality when he becomes smitten with the Ballerinas the shoes are built for, one named Sylvia particularly, but soon learns this magical and distant world is not beyond the reach of affliction.
